Behold: the great scientist-alchemist Celsia. She has made innumerable discoveries that have helped this world, but many more have caused destruction. A set of circumstances she refuses to speak of has caused her to be banished into exile. Now the sorceress has to endure the chilly welcome of the hot sands in the Barren Lands.
But Celsia knows how to get out of this oppressive place!

The most brilliant and mightiest scientist in the world found a way to make an Elixir of Immortality, and produced it. She immediately reported to the Ministry of Mages of her success. Now those snobbish sorcerers will be sure to fall at her feet and permit her to return to civilization.
Everything would’ve been wonderful, if not for a couple of insignificant – as the young woman says – nuances. The potion hasn’t been concocted yet, and her latest attempt to make it failed due to unknown reasons. An unexpected side effect occurred in addition to it all – Celsia’s power got sealed off thanks to a curse, and her body shrank to half size.

What can possibly be done when the person who’s supposed to confirm the phenomenal discovery is at the door, the potion is yet to be made, the powers are gone, and the serious promise being broken is going to end in the death penalty?

Exciting, sometimes dangerous, but mostly fun adventures in this magical world full of unusual laws are waiting for you.
Help the protagonist recover her power and brew the potion that’ll change the world, or find true and eternal love.

  • Uncover all of the secrets of 3 young men available for romance: the Mage, the Demon and the Golem.
  • Develop the characteristics of the characters around you. The protagonist’s replies in dialogues will affect her own personality and the traits of other characters.
  • Make notes in your notepad – special book you can peek in, to find out more about the world around you..
  • Collect ingredients and put them into your bag – an additional in-game window that will let you take a closer look at the interesting items you are going to find throughout the game.
  • More than 55 colourful illustrations that will be unlocked as you progress through the game: romantic, casual, comical.
  • More than 15 tracks matching the mood and the dynamics of the scene.

Also, don’t forget that sometimes things are not what they seem in this world, and the mask of endless jokes and humor might be hiding personal issues of the characters that are rather sad if you really think about them.

Journey with a crew of half-zombie girls and survive in the post-apocalyptic world of Undead Darlings.

What is Undead Darlings?

Journey with a crew of half-zombie girls as you crawl through dungeons, beating up twisted creatures that were born from the fall of society in fast-paced turn-based RPG combat, and ultimately deliver the only known cure for what ails your party members to a place where it can be mass produced!

Story driven portions of the game contain a multitude of branching dialogue paths that, based on the choices you make, gives deeper insight into the different characters, while the RPG portion of the game uses a familiar but refined turn-based battle system with unique twists. Both of these gameplay features are contained within a first-person perspective dungeon crawler with dungeons built like mazes and filled with traps and hidden paths.

Reginald “Reggie” P. Happenstahnce wakes up from an alcohol-related coma (courtesy of his own father, no less) by his childhood friend, Pearl, and is told that society had crumbled due to a virus outbreak that turned most everyone into zombies while he was sleeping. This includes Pearl herself. However, Pearl has managed to hold onto her human conscience, and she relates that she is not the only one in a similar state. As with every half-zombie Reggie will run into, she may be undead, but her heart is still human.

Your role as Reggie is to be the girls’ loot donkey and carry the things they find in dungeons. Since Reggie is a human, the girls will prevent him from getting infected by fighting in the front lines! Go them!

While on this adventure, you will learn more about the undead girls’ lives from before the outbreak, but whose tale you will hear is based on the choices you make during the visual novel scenes. Perhaps one of them will connect with you, open up about their hardships, and maybe even develop romantic feelings… The ultimate result of these interactions will determine whether or not any of these girls trust you enough to take the biggest risk of their undead lives—volunteer to be the first test subject for your father’s cure!

Key Features

Explore a multitude of complex post-apocalyptic dungeons—a total of over 20 huge floors to explore! Discover loot, secret event scenes based on your current battle party, and more!

Become invested in a novel-sized epic adventure—a script of over 300,000 words and more branching dialogue choices than you can shake your boomstick at await! The adventure is filled with comedy, slices of romantic life, and the horrors associated with surviving the zombie apocalypse from a zombie’s perspective!

Key events give you the chance to grow closer to the girls, and by doing so, you will access specific character story arcs that come with gorgeous HD images of the characters for you to unlock! Over 20 unlockable images in total—gotta collect ’em all!

Six playable, awesome half-zombie girls lead the charge!

Nine endings based on your choices and how close you grow with the characters!

No currency or stores exist in the post-apocalypse, so you will need to fill up your war chest by finding loot in dungeons. Be careful, though—weaponry will break if used too much!

Exploit multiple enemy weaknesses simultaneously in the unique Exponential Exploitation battle mechanic! Increase your damage multiplier and utilize it for a one-time attack that can deal tremendous damage! Set up custom battle strategies with the Macro function! Use this wisely in tandem with the EE System to create efficient tactics against your current roster of foes!

In 20XX, an enormous earthquake shook the world and caused a triangular crater to suddenly appear in the middle of Bermuda Triangle. The world was aghast with this discovery and it became even more concerning when scout teams came across a mysterious force, preventing people from getting too close. Those who went to examine it said that the force was like an invisible wall and there was no way around it, therefore, making further investigation difficult.

Spiritual events and sightings have also dramatically increased since then.
It got to the point where people began to hold festivals to honor the dead and the mythical creatures. It wasn’t long until it became a new worldwide sensation and there was not a single day where spiritual events weren’t on the news

Our heroine, Maya (19), was busy earning her living so this kind of event was of little importance aside from adding an exciting spice into her life. But then her world crumbled when a Goddess came and announced that her family would die in a car accident in the near future.

The Goddess offered Maya a deal: She would alter her family’s fate in exchange for closing the Bermuda Crater. In order to do so, Maya would have to go to a place called The Forgotten Isles, find what caused it, and look for a solution.

If she agreed, three men would accompany her, acting as bodyguards. Apparently, they each have their own circumstances and a wish to be granted.

Game Info:

Hi guys! My new project is finally here! :D
Now before you ask; “Nusantara: Bermuda Triangle” is not a sequel of “Nusantara: Legend of The Winged Ones”.
This is an entirely new story but set on the same universe. It covers a wider horizon of Nusantara’s archipelago.
Bermuda’s story will be much longer, packed with content, and has lots more visual assets than Winged Ones… I dunno whether to be happy or cry about that :’)) Because of this, I decided to make this project a commercial one.

– 4 Love interests (The last bachelor will be unlocked once you finished with all 3 main bachelors routes)
– 9 Endings
– 1 Constant Minigame
– Casual Status Raising
– Regular & Time-Limited Choices
– Translation/Definition Notes (Click on the Orange Text!)
– Mini Encyclopedia
– CG Gallery
– lots of CGs & BGs (I haven’t calculate the exact number yet)
– Depending on IndieGoGo’s success, the bachelors & MC may have partial voice acting.

UPDATE 9/28/2020!

Hi guys! How did your week go?
Me? Gotta say I’ve seen better days :’D

My Ren’Py was acting out again. A specific GUI folder got corrupted for no reason and no rhyme–I didn’t even touch them! I’ve been working on progamming event scripts so why?? Fortunately, I got backups ready =_=;

I also had a bad case of cramps last week, you know, the monthlies? x_x; It usually doesn’t bother me that much, but oh boy, this one was throbbing and constantly tormenting my abdomen.

The cherry on top was that I spent too much time programming + editing Arya’s romantic event :’D Moreover, there’s this stupid moment where I forgot that I’ve prepared a special sprite for Guntur (For a romantic event. A small fanservice). So I had to return and manually replace his sprites just for that one event.

…But when all is said and done, I’m proud to announce:

Winter Arc’s programming is finished! x”D

We still have to draw the CGs + past-life memory images, but it’ll be a lot faster and less taxing than programming! Right now my mood is like:

After rain, comes sunshine! Let’s continue to work hard!

I will probably be drawing for the next two weeks, so look forward for the sketch sneak peeks -^.^)/

Stay safe and don’t forget to hydrate yourself!

Q&A session part 16!

1. What’s one thing that helps you decide you can trust someone? — by: Yanonako

Kahlil: “If they don’t judge me by my appearance or what I wear, they’re a good person in my list!”

Arya: “Trust is to be gained not given. If they’re not annoying, we’ll see.”

Guntur: “If they can talk to me without running away, that’ll be a start.”

2. If you had to describe your father, what would you tell me about him? —by: Yanonako

Kahlil: “He’s… scary.”

Arya: “If not for him, I wouldn’t be here. One day, I’ll repay him.”

Guntur: “I have admired him since I was little. It’s just too bad that I can’t see my parents because of my special circumstances. I miss them.”

Alyx is a young man who has allowed his mother to dictate every aspect of his life for as long as he can remember. As a result, Alyx is currently in further education studying subjects that he has no interest in and dating a girl who he doesn’t have feelings for. He has known for a while that his romantic urges tend to veer towards other males but is afraid of actually mentioning it to his mother for fear of upsetting her. In fact, Alyx refuses to even accept himself, preferring instead to just let life pass him by. Despite being fairly miserable, Alyx is empathetic to the point that he would prefer to suffer in silence than face the possibility of hurting others. His only solace lies in a chat group he came across online, where he’s able to be a truer version of himself around the other members of the group, Alvy, Sio, Elil, and Kagan.

One day, Alyx is involved in an accident that puts him in a coma. As he dreams away in hospital, a mysterious figure called Merrik visits him, claiming to be his spirit guide. Merrik warns Alyx that if he continues to refuse to accept himself then he will never wake up. All hope is not lost, as Merrik offers Alyx another opportunity to live, with the requirement that he makes an effort to be true to himself. There is one condition, however, Alyx must prove to Merrik that he has the ability to change within just 3 days, or face death after all.

With the help of his online friends, can Alyx learn to love himself for who he really is on the inside? The outcome is entirely up to you! Make choices and help Alyx on his journey of self-discovery, deepen friendship with his online companions, and possibly even find true love :3

(Click the images on the side to view character profiles :3)

I suppose this would fall under the category of slice of life, with a bit of fantasy mixed in. I’ve never even played a yaoi game before as I prefer otome’s instead, so I have no idea if I’m even doing this right, or how it compares to all the yaoi content out there >.< But at the end of the day, I just figured it’s a story about friendship, love, and learning to accept yourself… and I wanted to tell it, so yeah xD

Because of the time limitations on this project, I decided it would be best to edit some of Tokudaya’s sprites to make the characters, so if they seem familiar, that’s why! I did my best to edit them in a way that makes them look a little more unique at least :3

Anyway, I hope that someone out there somewhere will get some form of enjoyment out of this project at some point ^_^/

The jam demo

So I managed to release a demo in time for the end of the jam, but it only contains the prologue and common route. Please be aware if you’re downloading it that it wasn’t thoroughly tested as I was really short on time to submit an entry >.< I imagine it’s full of spelling & grammar errors, and probably some little bugs! For one thing, I know that it crashes at the end of the demo instead of taking you back to the title screen xD So yeah, it’s a very rough demo, sorry about that.

The full version is currently still in development :3

A Very Late Update x3

Soooo, I haven’t posted in quite some time after I was managing to make some form of regular-ish progress with the writing, haha. The reason I’ve been so silent is because I haven’t made much progress to report due to the state of my mental health absolutely sucking recently >.<

Anyone who knows me will know that I suffer with anxiety + depression so my ability to get stuff done can fluctuate. Usually, I’m able to sorta lose myself in projects like this when stuff is bad, but this time around, I wound up not getting much done on it at all because my head has just been so darn messed up lately! I’m pretty sure it’s the whole coronavirus thing that’s making everything 100x worse. I know a lot of people across the world have had to change the way they live their lives because of the virus, including me.

I’ll try not to ramble on too much with my venting, cos I know this is supposed to be a devlog for CiQ rather than a general update on my life xD Basically, since I live at both my dad’s and my partner’s places, but they’re far apart, my normal life revolves a lot of frequent travel between my two homes. Without a car, and with public transport being deemed generally unsafe right now, I can’t live the way I was living.  I’ve always been terrified of losing my loved ones, and somehow, travelling between each home every 10 days or so helped to calm that fear a little. The best I can manage for now is to stay in each place for a month at a time, and even then, it’s not very practical because it involves my poor dad driving me a very long distance, which I don’t want to put him through 😦 So yeah, I’m just even more scared than usual of losing my loved ones now that the distance between us is much harder to travel, and sometimes that fear becomes crippling.

Anyways! I’m still in the middle of writing Elil’s route. On top of that, my friend Anthony is helping me to find voice actors for the remake of the old jam demo that I’m working on. The cast will soon be decided :3

I’ll shut up for now! Wherever you are in the world, I hope that you’re managing to stay safe, and that you have a wonderful week ^_^/

Writing Progress:

Common Route – 100% complete

Alvy’s Route – 100% complete

Sio’s Route – 100% complete

Elil’s Route 33% complete

All other Routes – 0% complete

Project: ESCAPE (prototype name) is a puzzle/adventure game, blending together puzzle gameplay with a rich narrative via more typical visual novel elements in the vein of games such as 999 or Virtue’s Last Reward.

The prototype focuses on two colourful characters–Kevin and Alice, both of whom wake up with cloudy heads and a pair of handcuffs binding them together within a strange prison cell. Will they be able to solve the strange puzzles that lie in wait for them and escape this foreboding room? And just what awaits them on the other side of that metal door? Somehow…they have the feeling that their strange adventures have only just begun.

Hi there! Thanks for checking this prototype out! This is a small puzzle game I’ve been working on slowly in my spare time over the last year for fun–and after a lot of setbacks, I’m finally ready to present it to the world!

I will preface this by saying that if you’re coming to this project from previous games of mine, please be aware that there is no adult content within this game. It was created with the intention of being something a little more lighthearted and accessible. An experimental project, if you will! Please don’t panic or despair though, because I still intend to work on, and make adult games. I just wanted a change of pace for this particular project, and don’t want to feel I’m forever bound to only making adult stuff.

This largely serves as a way for me to broaden my skills with Ren’Py too as I attempt to script all manner of fancy systems!

So, with that out of the way–outside of the brief synopsis above, what does this contain? Well, allow me to break out my handy bullet points! Project: ESCAPE contains the following:

  • A short romp through a puzzle filled cell that should last roughly 5 – 10 minutes, depending on how much you poke around for the bonus dialogue and how challenging the puzzles might prove to be for you.
  • Fully voiced dialogue for both Alice and Kevin (yes, the male main character is voiced this time around!) with roughly 300 lines of dialogue in-between the narration.
  • 3 puzzles to be solved, with progressively more helpful hints from the characters if you need them.
  • A simple inventory system that will keep track of items you have (though for simplicity’s sake they’ll be used automatically at the right time)
  • Point-and-click style gameplay in-between the dialogue. Click to examine areas of interest, and view the cell from several key angles! We’ve come a long way from simple menu based navigation!

I understand this game won’t be for everyone–but I certainly hope you give it a try if anything listed above piques your interest! Let me know what you think if you get the chance down the line. Either way, I’m incredibly proud of what I’ve accomplished here, and am happy to finally present it to the world after a number of unfortunate setbacks in development.

And while I’ve tried to iron out every bug possible–this was a VERY complex thing to put together, with lots of moving parts. So if by chance something breaks, please let me know and I’ll put out a new version as fast as I can while profusely apologizing for the inconvenience.

You jolt awake as the bus hits a particularly nasty bump. You feel like you’d only just managed to start drifting off, and now here you are, awake again and still exhausted.

For a moment, you’re hazy on the details of where exactly ‘here’ is, confusing this bus with the many others that came before it. But as your mind continues to reassert its existence in the waking world, the past few days come back into focus. The long-lost cousin, the bad news, the twenty-six hours of bus rides with countless late-night stops in seedy depots that felt unsafe even in the middle of the day. You wouldn’t normally find yourself traveling like this, but your cousin bought the tickets. The funeral of her mother, your aunt, seemed like something you shouldn’t ignore, even considering your own late mother’s rocky relationship with this side of the family.

Fortunately, the end of your long journey is in sight. You’re almost in Scarlet Hollow.

Scarlet Hollow is a horror visual novel where your choices deeply matter. Hand-drawn backgrounds and sprites work together with a complex relationship system to bring to life an immersive world of charming (and terrifying) characters. Who lives, who dies, and the fate of an entire town rests on your shoulders.

Angel, Devil, Elf and Me!

Ayumu is just your average bachelor until out of nowhere three gorgeous women from a fantasy world burst through a portal into his living room. It turns out our ‘normal guy’ Ayumu is somehow the descendant of a legendary Hero and of course, any children he has will be incredibly powerful! Join Ayumu as his everyday life is turned upside down as beautiful girls from across dimensions battle it out for his ‘essence!’

Ayumu, not being the type who enjoys seeing these lovely ladies tear each other (and his house) apart, steps in and pleads that they not fight over him so the three decide it is up to Ayumu to choose one among them to become his bride. Each of the girls try to appeal to him in her own unique way, Rizabel is a saucy succubus and princess of hell who wants to seduce Ayumu so she can have powerful children to rule over hell. Elysia, the motherly angel, wishes to marry Ayumu to prevent his overwhelming essence from falling into the wrong hands she takes a more soothing and pampering approach to win Ayumu over. Finally Hilda the leader of a clan of Dark Elves hopes to marry Ayumu so that his essence will provide her clan with many strong children, she comes off as very noble and stoic but is quite a novice when it comes to romance and her awkward attempts to woo Ayumu might just do the trick.

Check out the story of the unlikely descendant of a Hero who finds himself beset by beautiful brides from another world as he tries to figure out just how he is going to handle the situation he finds himself in with the three other-worldly women and lead a happy married life.

Henchman Story is a visual novel where you play as a beleaguered henchman working for a bumbling supervillain.

It’s thankless work. Week in and week out, you put on your purple spandex and get the crap beaten out of you by much stronger, much cooler people wearing much fancier spandex. But the checks clear, and Lord Bedlam offers healthcare, so a job’s a job, right?

Even henchmen have bills to pay, and sometimes, even henchmen can make choices that change everything.

Superhero Satire: A comedic take on the world of superheroes that revels in the ridiculous nature of its setting, and showcases a colorful, comic book aesthetic.

Colorful Characters: Find friends, enemies and even romance amongst a lively cast of villains, heroes and fellow henchmen.

Meaningful Choices: Your decisions directly influence the story – leading to over a dozen endings, determining the fate of its characters, and if you play your cards right, you might even earn a promotion!

Professional Voice Acting (In Progress): Comedy is funnier with great delivery, and emotional moments hit harder with nuanced performances, which is why the final version of Henchman Story aims to have full voice acting on release. For now, you can get a glimpse of what that will sound like through the demo’s partial voice acting, and if you like what you hear, support our Kickstarter so we can have full voice acting in the final version!

The Shadow Government Simulator is a PC puzzle/strategy game that puts you in control of a shadow organization dead set on global domination via bribery, intimidation, seduction, and any means necessary. Inspired by old classics like Plague Inc. and modern gems like The Shrouded Isle, this is a challenging game where you infiltrate nations, discover their networks of power, and then reshape them to fit your agenda.

Turn-based strategic infiltration.

In this game every action you take matters on a global scale. When you enter a new nation, you’ll be alone with just a headquarters at your disposal and minimal information. Slowly, you will send your tendrils throughout the region uncovering who are the influential and how much power they truly wield. You’ll discover their traits and personalities, earning an understanding of their weaknesses and how to best convert them to your side.

Reshape society’s network!

More importantly, you’ll discover who they are connected to, and thus person by person, you shall take over the whole elite. Having a strong interconnected network is the key to success, but the bigger you get the more visible you are and this could lead to your demise. Manage your network, cutting and creating connections, to ensure you act from the shadows when the time is right.

Customize your unit’s abilities to match your grand plan!

Evolve your organization

The world will be difficult to conquer without growth and adaptation. As you capture new units, you can change their abilities, unlocking new traits and adapting to the necessities of the shadow war. Throughout your campaign for world domination, you’ll be able to build your organization with unique traits. Tailor your society and its pawns to fit your grand plan. Conquer the world and you’ll be able to unlock different factions such as the Masons and the Templars, with different strengths and weaknesses!

Convert the elite to your cause

Fight for global supremacy

As your organization grows and becomes more visible on the global scale the challenges you face will increase. The world’s countries will unite against you and you will face off against rival organizations. Choose wisely which region to infiltrate first, as they will provide different bonuses, but also present different challenges. Each region will offer a distinct play experience with its procedurally generated networks. As time moves forward the regions will acquire unique modifiers to increase the difficulty and diversity of the maps you play on. It might well be worth the risk, however, as nations you take over become yours to command, unlocking new powerful abilities. Be it a person or a country, they shall all become like pawns before you!

The characters and plot mechanics haven’t changed as much in 10 years as you would think! Rather, everyone was aged-up and plotlines as well as character interactions became more mature, involved, and nuanced than before. There is still a large cast of characters, and the origins behind the outbreak have remained largely the same, with additional scientific research making the scenario as realistic as feasibly possible.

ApoYume is driven by the ability to play from the POV of twins – each twin has a unique experience and lease on life, as they have drastically different personalities and ways they process their emotions. Mikuru, the female protagonist, is the first twin whose head you get inside of. Her dream predicting the end of the world is what spurs this adventure in the first place, and she acts as the catalyst for the story. Toshiro, the male protagonist, has his own issues with being “different” that he largely keeps to himself, to support his sister and help her navigate through her life…and as you play as him, you will see how that has affected him and his emotional development throughout his life.

The game will take place over approximately 2 months, and 6 central chapters. The first draft of  writing for the entire game is about 1/4 finished.

There are 5 possible “final endings”, with several possible LI endings paired with CGs that build off of those. In total, this is over 12 ending variations, the total number ambiguous to not risk spoiling plot.

Set in early 17th century, just before the Pirate Golden Age, The Spanish Privateer places you in the shoes of Isabel Carlota de Castilla (but you can just call her Carlota). Carlota is an 18-year-old runaway escaping a marriage forced upon her by her parents. Not able to afford passage on a ship, Carlota offers to work for her voyage aboard Captain Rico’s ship, La Aguja. Captain Rico is a privateer, a pirate with a letter of marque allowing him to attack and capture the enemies of Spain. Carlota soon falls in love with the sea, and challenges herself to become a valuable member of the ship.

Amidst sword fights, balls, and drunken nights at the tavern, Carlota learns more about her fellow crew members and the world outside Spain. Visits to the archipelago of Azores, cities in the Caribbean and Veracruz, New Spain, teach Carlota about the effects of colonization and make her question her contribution and power aboard the Spanish ship.

No matter which route you travel down, Carlota must overcome her male crew members’ prejudices, earning their respect with her hard work, determination, and intelligence.

  • Seven Bad Endings
  • Six “Alternate” Endings

  1. Oh, I completely forgot about Robotics;Notes! Any game made by the developers of Steins;Gate is an instant buy for me. 🙂

Project Escape kinda reminds me of the firs Jigsaw movie, at least the screenshots do. Might give it a try too.

Thanks for these posts! I am finding some visual novels that I’d probably miss otherwise but that I definitely want to play at some point! 🙂
